Wexford County government provides many services to its citizens ranging from animal control to marriage licenses and from tax collection to water service, based on constitutional and statutory requirements, citizen input and history. County government receives operating funds from millages, fees, court costs and state and federal appropriations and other miscellaneous sources of revenue. Most county offices and facilities are open 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Locations including the recycling center, landfill and animal control have operating hours on Saturdays to best serve the needs of residents.
